i love being pregnant... THAT'S A LIE!

lately, i have been swarmed with people who rave and i mean RAVE about being pregnant. i have had people tell me that they are actually jealous of me and wish they were pregnant. Oh and i might add that most of these pregnancy lovers have children under the age of one. SERIOUSLY? you just got done with these shenanigans and you already want to go back?

my pregnancy so far has been what one would call GREAT. i had very little if any morning sickness. i had never had heart burn before i was pregnant and i rarely get it now. so that's good. my baby continues to grow healthy and strong everyday and also makes the ultrasound tech laugh. (last time she stuck her tongue out at us. maybe you had to be there, but it was cute) so all in all YES i should be super happy that i have had such a wonderful EASY pregnancy.

but do you want to know the truth? i am not happy. i have come to realize that i am officially NOT one of those girls who embraces pregnancy with open arms. i am more of the girl who annoys her husband with a moan every time i pass a mirror. yes, every time. i know that my body is changing for the health and well being of my little berlin. but you know what, putting on 25 (YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT) pounds in a matter of months SUCKS!!!

and to top it off it is dead winter in alaska, which means it is cold, like negative 51 cold. the coldness actually hurts, like real pain. ouch. what does all this talk about cold mean? it means that i do not go outside other than to walk to work and home. WHICH MEANS I AM WHITE AS A GHOST!!! i am a person who looks best tan, what can i say look at my dad! we look our best tan.

a snow man with giant BOOBS!! GIANT. and guess what, they're HEAVY as HECK!

  1. OH! And PS

I have to hold my giant boobs up to run to the bathroom. They have NEVER EVER been this huge. They muffin top out of my bra already! I'm only 20 weeks.

And running to the bathroom...that happens a lot..or I leak. Right?

Just you wait. Someone sometime is going to say to you, "Get as much sleep as you can before the baby comes out."

I HATE that. Clearly they have never been pregnant.

Glad we are at least in the same boat.

  2. Oh my gosh ang that picture is so funny!!! I'm dying laughing! I must say that as cute as you looked when I saw you I felt VERY glad it wasn't me. You would die if you saw what number four does to your body- hang in there. I do love feeling the babe move around and daydreaming about him coming. It's so very worth it but I'd like to see guys gain and lose 40 (did you say only 25?) PBS over and over!

  3. I don't know what pbs's are - I meant lbs.

  4. I am not pregnant--thank the Lord. However, when I was, I hated it. Both of my pregnancies were super easy. But I still hated it. And I HATED for people to say, "Can I touch your belly?" Um, no!! Do you want me to rubbing YOUR belly!
All I can say is to hang in there. That sweet baby will be totally worth it. And, honestly, you will forget all the pain when you see that little face. So, good luck and congrats!:)

  5. I hate to say this, but I loved being pregnant. And girl, if you only gain 25 I will be jealous to the end of the world and back ... I had 1 giant baby in me and I gained 80 pounds! Yes, 80.

I love your blog header, and your blog! Hang in there with the pregnancy, it'll be worth it because you've got the best prize waiting for you at the end of this journey.

    Visiting from FTLOBs :)
Hope you're having a great weekend!
    Maegan :)

  6. how did i miss this post!? lol (i only laugh because that picture is awesome;) Stay strong...the day you can hold your little girl, while you're wearing your regular clothes (one of the best parts;), will be here before you know it! :)

  7. i'm pregnant too and while my boobs arent giant... they're close. hahaha.
