a weekend at cama-i.

this past weekend was cama-i.
it is a HUGE festival where people come from all over to celebrate native dance and culture.
cory and i really enjoyed watching the different village dancers.
this particular group is from a small village called hooper bay, they were really good.
oh and berlyn (yes, we decided to spell her name with a Y) LOVED it.
she was kicking like crazy!
though most of her kicks landed on my ribs it was fun to feel her get excited about the music.

OH AND AT CAMA-I THEY HAD FROZEN YOGURT!
THE ONLY TIME I HAVE EVER SEEN A YOGURT MACHINE IN BETHEL IS AT CAMA-I.
IT WAS GREAT.
I GOT A TWIST CONE!

30 + SEVEN weeks

I AM FINALLY FULL TERM!
i cannot wait to meet our little

(we haven't picked how we want to spell her name yet)
i hope she knows just how excited we are to start being her parents.
we have been working extra hard lately getting ready for her to come,
lots of fun clothes and baby stuff was bought.
(cory bought everything. it was to much money to buy it in bethel. so instead we got him a plane ticket and had him go to anchorage to buy everything. HE DID GREAT!)
(( i didn't go because my feet swell like balloons if i am on them for too long))
if you saw my feet you would think i was having an allergic reaction to something, its bad.

i am pretty open about being pregnant and how it might not be my favorite thing in the world.
but you know what.
there is something that i don't like even more.
taking pictures of me pregnant.
cory thinks that we need to document what i looked like, he might be right.
he could also be wrong.
i never saw any pictures of my mom pregnant with me,
probably because she was just like me and didn't like taking them.
anywho i gave in to cory and his camera and these three picture are pretty much what you get.

1. my idea of a perfect picture...tummy only!  no chubby face needed.
2. if we have to add my face i am going to make my, "i am NOT excited to poop out this baby" face.
(but i sure am excited for after she's out!)
3. okay fine i'll smile. you get only one though.

DROP IT LIKE ITS HOT.

i saw this commercial recently and about died from laughing.
this reminds me so much of ME and some random dance fits i've gotten into before.
(all of which, oddly enough, there are videos of somewhere)
i am now committed to find each one

once at a family reunion i had about twenty family members all doing a the same choreographed synchronized swimming routine. you could tell the other hotel dwellers were all thinking, "MORMONS." haha.
ya, were weird like that.

years ago on 4th of july i joined my aunt sue and her family for an annual hot air balloon race in utah.
lets just say that day ended with some very inspiring interpretive dancing.
i might have danced the life cycle of an eagle (from egg to flight), might have.

oh and last but not least.
probably my favorite dancing memory was with brittany.
this was right before we moved from az to utah, sad times right?
NOT WHEN YOU HAVE A GIANT BLUE BUNNY COSTUME.
i put on this amazing costume and danced my lil' bootie off for my sis.
no music, no beat, just pure dancing joy.
i've probably watched the video brittany recorded of me about three hundred times.
why does a video of me doing something ridiculous make me feel so good?
